AI & Automation Engineer

About the role

As an AI & Automation Engineer at WebDev Company, you will sit at the intersection of artificial intelligence and practical business automation. You will build production-grade AI pipelines, integrate large language models into client products, and create n8n/Make workflows that eliminate repetitive processes across sales, support, and operations.

What you'll do

• Architect and implement LLM-based features using OpenAI, Claude, and open-source models.
• Build and maintain workflow automations in n8n, Make, or custom Node.js services.
• Develop RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines with vector databases.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing client web and mobile applications.
• Evaluate new AI tools and frameworks and produce technical recommendations.
• Document automation logic and ensure observability and error handling.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript for AI/ML scripting.
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector).
• Familiarity with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and webhook-driven architectures.

Nice to have

These are not required, but will help your application stand out.

• Fine-tuning experience with open-source models (LLaMA, Mistral).
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, PDPA).
